You're TEA-riffic

Hello all! I was going to wait to post this project using the new Kingston Crafts line until after I posted all of my cards, but inquiring minds would like to know what files I used so here we go!

This was one of my projects where it started out as one file and as I got into making it, I rolled it into matching files.

Using my Silhouette Cameo 3 and 4 (I used both machines as I was cutting two of these and needed to work fast) I cut the base of the box and lid out of Bazzill Basic Papers for the Explosion Box Teacup Mother's Day box by Lori Whitlock. Then I cut all the accent pieces, 3D elements, and flowers out of the Kingston Crafts Love Collection 60 Sheets Double sided 12" x 12" paper.
Next I ran all of my pieces through the Xyron Creative Station for adhesive.
This 3D Teapot is also a Lori Whitlock file that I got from the Silhouette Design Store. I downsized it dramatically so it would fit on the top of my lid. I have had these little crystal topped paper clips up on my craft board for years. I was just staring at my board trying to figure out what I could put on the lid to the tea pot I made when it hit me, I could use those! I simply cut them down and applied hot glue to the inside of the lid.
The very last thing I did was roll up the flowers. I made extra so I could decorate around the teapot on the lid as well as an extra one by the saucer.
Final Project:
For the outside of the box, once I finished the lid, I felt the bottom side looked empty. I grabbed some of the Kingston Crafts Love Collection 26 Stamps with 40 Chipboard Frames to frame out the bottom and the circle and added some hearts and arrows from the Kingston Crafts Love Collection Hearts and Arrows Chipboard Pieces and Kingston Crafts Love Collection Embellishment Variety Bundle.
For the inside, I decided to match the scalloped edge of the saucer with a chipboard frame on the bottom from the Kingston Crafts Love Collection 26 Stamps with 40 Chipboard Frames set.
The Kingston Crafts Love Collection Hearts and Arrows Chipboard Pieces and Kingston Crafts Love Collection Embellishment Variety Bundle made it perfectly easy to decorate my four sides and pull the design together.

There are two places to pull a sheet of white cardstock out and write a message or favorite memory. I designed this box to not necessarily be just for a Mother's Day gift, but it could be for Valentine's day, an anniversary, or just a special gift for the favorite tea drinker in your life.

That's right, there are two!

  1. Wait, WHAT?! You made TWO? Holy moly girl. You are making me tired just seeing all of your pretty creations! This is a stunning way to display all of the new products that Kingston Crafts has to offer. Absolutely wonderful! On a side note, I was thinking that teapot design looked familiar and I realized I made the same one in the spring of 2017! It is a very pretty file to use.
    Have a great day!
