Dododum EasyPress Mini Heat Press Machine Review

Hello all! I decided to take a small break from paper crafting and do something else I love to do. Wood signs. A few weeks back, I made a giant 'No Matter What' sign for our bedroom. I had some difficulties with it. For one, I was using a clothes iron so many spots did not adhere which inspired me to make a new purchase.

Move over clothes iron, there's a new tool in this crafty ladies life. Recently I purchased the Dododum EasyPress Mini Heat Press Machine. I decided to break it out today and see how it works for me.
To start with, I had these little chalkboard stands that I purchased at the Dollar Tree. I had no idea what I was going to do with them when I got them, but the other day I decided they'd make great little message boards for decoration.
I took some espresso stain by Minwax and stained the wood.
Fast forward 1 week (I usually always give my painted and or stained signs a good week to dry before I touch it). I grabbed my Arhiky Iron on Heat Transfer Vinyl. I purchased one roll of the white and one of the black to see if I liked this brand of HTV.

I used my Silhouette Cameo 3 with this simply because it was closer to me, but I usually use my Silhouette Cameo 4 for vinyl cuts. I followed their suggested cut settings.
It cut and weeded like butter. No issues at all with this HTV (remember to mirror your image before cutting!). As for application and heat of it, absolutely no issues at all.
As I started to weed my cuts, I thought to myself that I better go ahead and plug in the Dododum EasyPress Mini Heat Press Machine, as I didn't know how long it would take for it to heat up. Not to worry, it was ready to go before I even got my first cut weeded!
I didn't have to press hard or leave it on for very long.
The tipped shape helped get right up there in the corner.
This surface is not a true chalkboard surface. It's more of a hard plastic. When I was peeling up my sheet, I noticed a few spots that need a bit more heat. Not a problem at all though!
Overall thoughts on the Dododum EasyPress Mini Heat Press Machine
  1. Love the size. It's nice and small to get in and do the job. These chalkboard spaces are 4"w x 5"h
  2. Heats up super quick
  3. Gets the job done in no time at all with a nice even heat
  4. Would I buy it again? It's already on my Christmas list in a different color!
  5. I'd give it a 5 out of 5 for me, I'm easy to please usually. Evenmore when something works the way it's supposed to!
Final Projects:
Sticking with the song lyrics theme.
This font is a trio font from the Silhouette Design Store. I was able to use all three fonts as well as the extras from the Berson Dream Duo set. Even the ribbon is part of this font.
If you followed the 'No Matter What' post, LOOOOOOK I got the new lamps ;)
