Christmas Advent Calendar

Hello all! We've already had one snow fall this year. After a week of it on the ground, I was ready for Spring. However, I got my Kingston Crafts set and thought hmmm I can do something Christmas worthy with that!

After changing my mind several times on what Christmas item I wanted to make, I settled on an Advent Calendar Christmas Tree I found in the Silhouette Design Store

To begin with, I heat embossed the sparkles from the Kingston Crafts Love Collection Paper Doll Stamps and Dies to add a little bling behind the scenes on my trees.

Next, using my Xyron Teresa Collins Mega Runner, I adhered my boxes to the tree base.
I had to move the top two rows around so that they didn't match. I'm weird like that. I used the solids, shapes, patterns, in both the large and small from the Kingston Crafts Love Collection 60 Sheets Double sided 12" x 12" paper
to mix and match on my trees.
When heat embossing, I purposely left the extra little sprinkles of dust on my topper so that it had a little bit more bling to it.
I also heat embossed the sparkles from the Kingston Crafts Love Collection Paper Doll Stamps and Dies onto the silver paper. I was pleasantly surprised to see it could handle the heat.

Final Projects:
I think the hardest part of this entire project was picking the cards out to go inside.
Instead of candy, this advent calendar encourages fun things like enjoy a special treat, volunteer at your favorite charity, do something nice for a neighbor, etc. from the Advent Cards Family Fun and Charity for Christmas file.
