Across the Miles Christmas Clock

Hello all! Back in 2018, I made a Christmas Truck using a SnapDragon Snippets 3D Classic Model Truck file from the Silhouette Store. I thought that file was a bit of a challenge and as it turns out I wanted to challenge myself with something. So I took this file and combined it with the Dreaming Tree Dogwood Mantel Clock file. 

After cutting out my paper with the Silhouette Cameo 3, I grabbed my Teresa Collins Mega Runner, Xyron Creative Station®, Xyron Glaminator Foil Laminator, 9", and Xyron Transfer Foils for Glaminator to adhere and glamorize my project.

Note, I modified the clock file to create a snow tunnel within. 

For the full size truck, I think it took a dozen or less sheets of 12" x 12" cardstock. Since I downsized the file, I was able to use a half a sheet of 12" x 12" Bazzill Cardstock to cut all my pieces.

It took me about two days to cut, detail, and assemble my little truck. The detailing on this one went much quicker with a brown and dark pink sharpie marker and the Craftwell eBrush. When I did my other truck, all that inking was hand done with ink pads and q tips.

This round seemed to fly by much easier for whatever reason than when I did this file back in 2018.

Just a hair over 3 inches!

 I made little signs for my truck doors and a title for the whole project using the Xyron Glaminator Foil Laminator, 9".

The entire reason why I did the tunnel on this clock is because I wanted it to light up.

 Next I adhered the face onto my clock and decorated my clock.

Final Project:

There are two lighting elements to my clock. One is the cab of the truck and the other is the tunnel.

I think I like it better without the cab of the truck lit up.

Okay can we just take a moment and appreciate the size of this little magical truck? I think I might just be obsessed with it! That truck is all paper, say what?!

Fake Snow recipe:

1 1/2 cups baking soda

Glitter (optional)

1/4 cup white hair conditioner

Mix up with a fork and apply to project
