Mid-Century Modern Gramophone
The gramophone is before my time, but recently while cruising Pinterest, a paper 3D one popped up on my page. I decided to see if I could find the file that was used, but unfortunately the picture went to nothing. After debating with myself for a bit, I decided to just make my own.
The main reason I wanted to make this project was specifically so I could use rose gold in the cone!
The inner box and cone of this project were actually the easiest part to design. I designed every element of this from boxes, circles, and lines in Silhouette Studios-Designers Edition. With the exception of the roses/leaves and musical notes. Other than that everything was designed, then cut, then redesigned if so needed! So hours upon hours over a few days was poured into this and I was super happy to be done with it!
I chose the Park Lane Mid-century Modern paper stack (found at your local Joann Fabric and Craft stores) specifically with this project in mind. I wanted the inner cone to have the rose gold paper.
This paper set is just about the most awesomest(that's totally a word) ever. It has a little bit of everything from foiled paper, printed acetate, velum, solid color cardstock, as well as the printed cardstock which cuts like butter with my Silhouette Cameo 3.
Once I got all my pieces cut, it was time to assemble.
I wanted the record area to sink down so I had to stack up some layers of Bazzill Robin's Egg cardstock with the aid of my Teresa Collins Mega Runner by Xyron®.
I ran all my main pieces through the Xyron Creative Station®.
Final Project:
Back view
A little help from Tim Holtz for the box corners and hitch fasteners to bring some hardware to the project.
The roses are made out of the matching cardstock in the back of this stack. I have a video on my facebook page that displays all the wonderful paper in this Mid-century Modern stack.

DeleteThis is sooo amazing! I saw the top and thought it was so pretty with all the roses and notes coming out of the beautiful cone (love the rose gold BTW. You are right, it is perfect for it) Then as I scrolled down I kept getting more amazed as I saw the arm and even the needle. Then the record and the base and the stand! I couldn't believe it. This is simply a work of art! You are so talented.
