Summer Memories Typewriter
Hello all. I took the DCWV Stack-a-holic challenge for the month of July. This month's theme is summer and anything goes.
A quick backstory as to why I picked this particular project. Growing up I spent my time between two different households. One had a computer, the other a typewriter. With friends in both states, and before the convenience of social media (oh boy, I'm aging myself), writing was done the good old fashioned way and was often the only way to share summer memories.
With that in mind, I went to the Silhouette Design Store to see if I could find a 3D typewriter. There was no such thing, however I remembered that back in 2017 I made this coffee box for my National Coffee Day post, and decided to modify that file. All supplies and files will be listed below.

Thinking summer colors, I used DCWV's 'hello darlin' stack'. One of my favorites. The base cardstock is from Bazzill's 'Juicy Pear' collection.
I ran all the accent pieces through my Xyron Creative Station® to get an even coat of adhesive on the back of each piece.
Next I adhered the accent pieces to the base pieces and used my Teresa Collins Mega Runner by Xyron® to start assembly.
Believe it or not, the typewriter keys were the hardest part of this entire project. I changed my mind on the design at least 10 times.
I ran the final typewriter keys through my Xyron 3" Disposable Sticker Maker.
Next I started working on the floral arrangement. I wanted the roses to have a bit of texture so I grabbed a sandwich baggie, dipped it in some Teresa Collins Fiesty Red ink and dabbed it around the roses.
Finally, I pulled all the floral together and started mapping out where I would put them.
Since I recently did the 3D Camping scene using SnapDragon Snippets little pull behind trailer file, I grabbed the wheels off of that file to make the spinning portion on the typewriter.
