Save the Date tri-fold album
Hello all! This is a sad post. I can't believe it has already been a full year of being on the most amazing design team I have had a pleasure of being on, Xyron. This will be my last post as a part of the 2018 design team, but fear not I have a lot of supplies to still use so keep tuned because I'm far from done with any Xyron products!!!
While I use and love all of my Xyron products, I have to say my top two favorite go to crafting adhesive items are the Xyron Creative Station® and the Teresa Collins Mega Runner by Xyron®. I use my 1.5" Sticker Maker almost as much.
The Xyron Creative Station® and the Xyron Creative Station Lite® apply adhesive to the entire back of your cut in one swoop. They have several other applications that can be used with these awesome little machines like laminate and magnetic backing. I tell people to think of it as a big mega runner. For the smaller cuts, I like to use my Teresa Collins Mega Runner by Xyron® and the 1.5" Sticker Maker instead of glue to prevent warping of my cut.
For my final project, I wanted to use some of not only my favorite Xyron products but also recap one of my favorite projects I did for Xyron, the Ballerina Tri-fold album featuring Teresa Collins 'Mon Cheri' paper pack.
I grabbed my other Teresa Collins paper, the Save the Date pack and got to work.
This tri-fold album is a bit different, it's taller and has more pockets. The idea for this album is to have the recipient be able to use it year round for fun little monthly prizes for her significant other.
After cutting out each element, I like to lay it out and see where I'm at to make sure I have all the elements before applying adhesive.Next I ran the pieces through my Xyron Creative Station® which is my favorite Xyron tool to use.
This album took probably the most adhesive, but I love that I didn't have to spend time applying adhesive to the back of each individual piece.
Run a small tipped item around the shape to break up the extra adhesive. The most common question I get about the Xyron Creative Station® is what does it do. In the bottom right hand picture it shows you that it applies even adhesive to the back like a large mega runner.
Next I grabbed some Tim Holtz hardware for the front cover.
Since the album is larger than the 12" x 12" cut space on my mat, I had to piece the front and back cover to the middle portion using my Teresa Collins Mega Runner by Xyron®.
I used the Teresa Collins Mega Runner by Xyron® to apply the smaller details.
I also used my smaller Tape Runner for the pockets.
I needed to make some labels and didn't want to waste a bunch of adhesive so I used my 1.5" Sticker Maker.
I used the pen holder to write the months on each divider for the pockets.
Finally some progress is seen!

Wow! That is a big project but what a great keepsake! I think you covered almost every aspect of the planning. Easy to see why having a machine like the Creative Station would be a big help.

DeleteHoly s***! What an incredible project! :-O WOW. I'm not a fan of the Valentiny paper but it could be done with another theme. Sorry you're not continuing with Xyron - you made some awesome things for them.
