Be a Mermaid

Hello all! This week, the Xyron design team has partnered with Wild Whisper to display some of their awesome paper packs. These are 12" x 12" double sided packs that cut nicely with electronic cutting machines.

When I received my Wild Whimsy pack, I decided to make a quick gift set that included a card and matching bottle.
What better way to use an empty bottle, than to do an under the sea theme?! First I cleaned the bottle, dried it, then applied several coats of Frosted Glass spray found at my local Joanns store.
Next, I cut out the card shapes with my Silhouette Cameo 3 and ran the pieces through my Xyron Creative Station®.
I also used my Xyron Mega Runner®  for the pieces that I didn't want full adhesive on the backs.
Next I grabbed a mermaid file from the Silhouette Design Store as well as a mermaid scale background. I used my Ranger Emboss It Pen to fill in the scales.
Then I added a bunch of random embossing powders and heated it up with the Darice Heat Tool.

The final step to my mermaids was adding Copper Recollections embossing powder around the scales for added detail.

After my card was assembled, I added a few things to the inside and outside of the bottle.
The easiest way I found to add the seaweed was to put hot glue on the bottom and guide it in place with a long wooden dowel.
