Fall is my favorite time of the year. However, with that means the white stuff is going to be here soon. So I am trying to hold onto any memory of warm days with this new project today!

Using this ever so lovely set of paper from Graphic 45, the Sun Kissed Collection, I just had this envisionment of some suitcases.
This was one of those projects where I started with one thing and then it led to another and another and the next thing I knew, I was resizing, cutting, and assembling different elements to fill the suitcase.
I modified the suitcase file a bit to make accent pieces for both the inside and out as well as to make a larger suitcase that holds most of the goodies.
I couldn't decided how I wanted the edges of the suitcase to be, but I ultimately decided on doing just a pattern piece for the edges.

Next I began on the biplane.
This file as well as the other accent pieces are downsized to very small. I like a challenge apparently! I added in some extra holes on the plane wheels as well as the propeller for a Tim Holtz fastener for detail.

Next I started on the sailboat.
I modified the sides of the sailboat to accommodate the printed paper for the sides
Instead of using a wooden dowel for the mast of the sailboat, I took a part of a file and made my own simply because I wanted to use that striped paper!
I added in some Tim Holtz eyelets to hold onto the strings just for a little something something on the mast and the side of the boat.

The last few things I did was make a palm tree, a sea turtle, and use the stickers and die cuts to decorate the pieces.

 Final Project:

For the "water", I just quilled a bunch of paper strips.
