Thank You Card

Hello all! Any child is excited to get gifts or money from their grandparents. But for my children, I always make sure they know that it is nice to give the gift giver a thank you card.

Sugar Tip: All files are 50% off in the Silhouette Design Store right now!

For this card, my kiddos needed to send it to my mom for some school shopping funds she sent to them. I took this Twist Pop Card-School by Lori Whitlock found in the Silhouette Design Store and made some changes.

The first change I made was making it a larger 5" x 7" card. 90% of my cards are that size for two reasons. The larger the card, the more detail I can put on it and well that's the size of envelopes I buy usually!

The next change I made was the inside message. Instead of it saying "back to school", I personalized it with Nana Z and a message from the kiddos. I decided to add little school supplies to fit her name as that is what their funds went to!

Once everything was designed in Silhouette Studio and cut out with my Silhouette Cameo 3, I ran the pieces through my  Xyron Creative Station®

The Xyron Creative Station® applies adhesive to the entire backing of your cut. Therefore effectively allowing you to assemble the project without using glue and no warping occurs.
I used an old stack that I've had waiting for a good project to use it for. This Me & My Big Ideas Mambi Sheets stack is not double sided so I made a few extra cuts to make sure the inside walls of the card was decorated as well.
After running the inside pieces through the Xyron Creative Station® I was almost done.
I decided to play off of the blue sparkly glitter dots on the front of the card by embossing the 'Thank you' sentiment with a matching blue embossing powder.
Since the outer sentiment was much smaller, I ran the pieces through the Xyron Creative Station Lite®
