January DCWV Sketch-a-holic challenge

One of the things I look forward to doing each month is the sketch-a-holic challenge for DCWVinc. What I love the most about these challenges is taking something from a sketch someone made up and making it into any number of possibilities.

It's very easy to vote, just click like on your favorite project(s) can win the designer a free stack of their choice!

The first card I did was a peacock inspired card. This card was created just to show others what they can do with the sketch, bring in some entries into this challenge!

I used the newest Wild Side stack for this card. It has so many animal prints, vibrant colors, and textures to the text plus added bonus, it is double sided, I just had to use the stack for this challenge!
The second card just kinda came to me a few weeks after the first one. For some reason when I saw the sketch again, I thought that it needed to be a flip card. So that's what I did.
With Valentine's Day coming up, I grabbed my Ocean Breeze stack (this one is found at Michael's) and got to work.
I almost had my card completed when I thought maybe a nautical knot would bring just an extra pop of texture to the card. I was on the phone with my husband at the time and he asked what I was doing. I told him I was looking up tutorials on nautical knots. His response, "um why". I told him really honey, this is probably the most normal thing I will do today!
What I loved the most about this card is the movement. It goes from flat, to 3D to flipped over and flat again!
