You've Got Mail

Hello all! I have had the pleasure of designing for the Cutting Cafe for the past 3 months. Today is my last post as I have all of a sudden filled up with orders and other obligations.

Since Valentines is coming fast, I decided to make this wonderful mail box for my child's desk to catch any little envelopes and treats.

Originally I was going to put this in a flower pot and add the vine from there. However, I decided to just add on an extra box support piece to the bottom to allow the box to stand on its own.
Next I added paper flowers held together with brads and curled with a quilling tool.

I love the little flap that opens to allow messages and treats to be left.
The flag moves side to side for a little fun.

Originally I was going to do the post in a white/grey wood grained paper. However, I decided to use my 'fill pattern' icon in Silhouette Studio to fill the post file and both boxes with this light pink wood grain background.

Materials Used:
Mailbox
Recollections Valentine's Day stack
AC Elements Brads
Silhouette Cameo 3
Silhouette Studio Designer Edition
Silhouette design store (pink wood grain background and heart vine)
Aleene's Original Tacky Glue
