A Gift of Cocoa

Hello all! Today is the 21st so it is Cutting Cafe time! For my project I used the Hot Beverage Treat Cup Holder!

I thought this file was a perfect way to give a small treat to a co-worker, teacher, or even boss.

After cutting each piece out, I started to assemble.

I wanted to get the cups assembled first so the glue could dry while I worked on the rest of the cards.

I found that if I formed the outer ring first, it was easier to pop the top of the cup in place.

Add the glue to each tab after you glue the ring and plastic to this piece.

Flip the ring upside down so the flaps are upwards

Push the ringed portion through the bottom of the outer ring.

Press the sides of the glued tabs against the outer ring

Next I attached my snowflake to the first layer of the cup.

Now this is a tight fit for the treat cup portion, so shimmy it on there slowly!

Next, attach to the mug portion and add your details.

On the inside, I cut out some extra mug portions so the inside wasn't a blank white.

I also added this notch on the top inside flap. I do this for all pull tabs so they are easier to access.

Next, I wanted to display the sentiments in two different ways. One, once the treat cup is emptied, the recipient can see it through the cup.

Secondly, when the tab is pulled on to release the treat, the sentiment comes with it!

Add your adhesive everywhere but where the sentiment slides out. Note, I added little tabs at the end of the sentiment piece of paper so that when it is pulled on, it doesn't come all the way out.
