The Game of Life

I had the honor and pleasure of making a 40th wedding anniversary card for a lovely down to earth couple.

The customer wanted the card to have specific dates and events of significance. I came up with four or five options for him to make this all cohesive. He chose the 'Game of Life' theme. This was a challenge for sure, but a pleasure to be able to provide!

I was asked to use tropical colors, which was fun and made the card extra bright. Yes, the wheels do spin in this card! Adding a little something interactive to my cards is one thing I enjoy doing.

For the inside of the card, I made it look similar to the board itself. I also made it in a Maui theme as that is where the lucky couple is celebrating their 40 years of marriage. One could only imagine being married for that long!
Each "square" was written in with a pen from my Cameo and then hand filled in. Because of the sheen on the yellow paper, it was throwing off the laser for the print and cut feature so I did it the old school way!
Because I wanted the inside to look like the board game itself, I did a secret pullout section for a message to be written.

This is a one of a kind card that cannot be replicated! Oh what a card this was! This card took me four full days, about 48 hours in all, from start to finish to design, execute, and assemble. (Two days on the front alone)

Materials Used:
Craftwell eBrush (I couldn't have done it without this lovely machine! Most of the paper started out as plain white cardstock)
Sharpies
Aleene's Original Tacky Glue
Scotch Advanced Tape Glue
Pigma Micron Pens #01 and #03
