Silhouette Challenges #35 March 1st
For this months challenge, I have decided to do a challenge using a household material that you normally would not think or see incorporated into a card.
For me, I chose chicken wire..........
I was asked to make a baby girl baby shower card. The customer sent me photos of the expectant mom's rustic themed nursery. After looking at the following photos, I started to put a plan together.
For some reason, I felt like the example photos called to a rustic chicken wire frame. I went to look on Pinterest for said frames.
After I did the research, things just kinda fell into place. Now you should've seen the look on my husband's face when I told him I needed chicken wire for a card! Although I kinda think not much shocks him anymore! He just kinda rolled his eyes and said okay.
I knew that I wanted the deer, flowers, and a frame with a banner somehow incorporated into this card.
But I also wanted the main feature of the card to stand up. Sort of grab the attention of people. Now in my experience, I have found that simple easel cards can confuse a person who is not used to that sort of card. I wanted to create a new kind of card.
This card is a play off of an easel card, with a pull tab to help it stand up for easy viewing.
The customer is very pleased with the card and I was happy to help her!
