This week, we have received news in a couple of my crafting groups on facebook that a fellow crafter has lost her battle with cancer.

A few of us in one of the groups have decided to send the family some cards.

All I knew when I set out to make this card was that I wanted it to have feathers and not be square or rectangle.

I went with a rocker card.

The feathers as well as the white rim of the paper is embossed with Silhouette's Curio machine. However, the camera has washed out that special feature.

Under the flowers, I embossed a flourish for depth and leaves.

I wish this card was made under happier circumstances. However, knowing I can make something simple to send to the family to extend our warm wishes and thoughts makes it all worth it.
