Is it Clean or Dirty?

This morning after dropping our son off for his first day of school, I walked into the house and thought out loud "hmm. It's amazing that the dishwasher is completely empty, but the sink has dishes in it".  To which my husband responded "well it's not see through, it's not like we know that". Oh really? Oh honey, hi hello wife is a crafter so watch this...challenge accepted...

I took a Lori Whitlock 'Hello My Name is' tag file from the Silhouette Design Store. I made just a slight change to the design by putting 'the dishes are' instead of 'my name is'.

I decided to write 'the dishes are' directly onto the Bazzill Basic Papers cardstock using the Silhouette Pen Holder and a white gel pen since the letters are a smaller cut.
After cutting each element out, I adhered the pieces together using my Xyron Mega Runner®.
Then I ran the assembled pieces through Xyron Creative Station Lite® with the Xyron® 5” Creative Station™ Laminate/Magnet Refill cartridge.
This allowed me to both laminate and apply a magnetic backing to each sign all at once.
Next a simple trim around the edges and they are ready for use.
I'll be able to apply whichever one applies at the moment. Now the waiting game is here to see who pays attention to said signs!!! The struggle is real.

  2. Lol for me those signs mean: Clean, I can use the fork from the dishwasher as there are none in the drawer. Dirty, stay away as I get in trouble for how I load it. Lol

  3. Giggle, my dishwasher has a light that comes on when the dishes are clean. I don't think the husband knows why the light is on sometimes???

    1. Ours says clean when you open it, but that just means they can grab what they need and leave everything for mom to do!
